Halloween Hoedown!

Yee Haaaaww! Y'all fixin' ta see some mighty fine Hoedown pics!?!?!?! Wull here ya go!

Here's the cake that we made for the
cake walk. It's a vanilla spice kitty trifle. ( :

.
Sophie didn't get to go but we did try
on her costume. ( : We'll have a ton of princesses on Halloween
Natalie had a costume malfunction at the last minute. She hasn't grown enough for the size costume that I purchased last year while on sale. So crisis averted... One quick trip to target turns a church dress into a Dorthy costume. Her Snow White costume should fit just fine for next year. ( ; BTW..... Yes that's flappin' Lily and me, arrrrrrrrrrrgh, pictured below. { :

Lily really enjoyed the games. During the coin toss (not pictured) instead of throwing her coin into the game she threw it into the prize bucket and walked over and picked a prize. Why would you want to throw it in the empty spots when there's a bucket of candy!?!?!? Later she threw the ring toss high and outside hitting the attendant in the head. She won double the candy for her good aim. ( ;

Natalie wasn't as interested in the games, but did enjoy the cake walk, and seeing all the people in their costumes.

Lily won a round of the cake walk! Woo hoo! She thought we should just find a nice spot on the carpet and enjoy it w/ our hands.

Oh and Lily has a sleeping beauty costume that she's going to wear this year, she just decided it wasn't worth it for the hoedown. So all costume issues aside we had a great time.

New shoes!

Thank you Nana! Don't you just love a pair of new shoes on tiny feet!?!?!?!

This week is homecoming week at Sarah's school and one of the "spirit week" days was dress as your favorite movie star. I had fun helping her with this one!

Thomas!

No it's not one of Natalie's new boyfriends..... One of the highlights of our visit with Nana and Papa last week was going to ride Thomas the Tank Engine. Natalie and Sarah had fun, but Lily lit up with excitement. She had a wonderful time. Hope you enjoy the pics!

In Texas school districts have half days when Thomas is in town, on the calendar it's marked "Parent teacher conferences." ( : So before we headed to see Thomas we stopped to have lunch together at Red Robin.

Can you feel the excitement?!!?!?! In line ready to go.....
Thomas pulling into the station! He's a really useful engine...
Sr. Engineer

OOOooooooo...... Aaaaaaaahhhhhh....

Mr. Conductor
After the train ride
we enjoyed the crafts
and fun activities
in the nice air
conditioned building. ( :

What a fun outing!

The flavor of the month.

Jason is out.... Cody is in.... On Friday Natalie had a crumpled up dried dandelion in the side zipper compartment of her backpack that *sigh* Cody gave her. And so it starts all over again.
This week is parent teacher conferences and report cards come out on Halloween. Awwwww... Natalie's first report card.
We are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Nana and Papa! They will be spending the week w/ us.
Have a great week!

Hanbok Fun!

Sarah and her mom gave Natalie and Lily new Hanboks! Woo hoo! So we were having some fun w/ Lily while Natalie was at school. ( ;
