Did somebody say, " Go for a RIDE?!?!" And we're off...
The girls will probably never know what it looks like on the way to the beach. With a three hour drive they pretty much just watch movies. I remember being completely and utterly bored on long car ride, (ie. anything over 15 mins), oh to have had the portable DVD player then.
My sweet boy...

Are we there yet!?!??!?!

Not a seizure from watching too many movies in the car.. Just an eye roll to add emphasis. ( :
How you doin'?
Look whose not afraid of the docks anymore!
We were able to see a few dolphins in the bay at Port Aransas.
(Not pictured: the girl who found the fear)
The weather was perfect. It was about 85 degrees and the water was 82. We swam, we played, Mel got stung by a jelly fish, and it was time to head home..
I have no idea what's happening here.. I just know that as soon as we got there the dogs were ready to go back home as soon as they were done peeing.
Sophie and Frito both swam in the ocean and were all pooped out, literally and figuratively. When we all piled back into the car they slept the entire way home.
We tried to come back again the following week and camp, but were unfortunately stormed out in the wee hours of the morning. Oh well, better luck next time I guess.
After our failed attempt at camping we came home to nice calm weather and decided to go out for some Texas BBQ before Mel headed back to Oregon.
